Please estimate the time it would take you to fly back to Jita, acquire a new drake, fit it and fly back to your precious ratting grounds. Now, deduct that time from the time it took your foes to gleefully blow up your ship.

Those numbers may well indeed be off by a fair margin, they are likely an average. Nevertheless, arbalest launchers don't come cheap and you were carrying some loot there as well.
To get replacements cheap you have some bargain hunting to do.. which will only cost you more time.
